Shey is a thinking tool for founders. You write your thoughts; Shey annotates them with observations, questions, and next moves. Your notebook is personal. Your data is yours.
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
Your conversations are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Each user has a unique encryption key. Your data is encrypted before it is stored in our database, and decrypted only when you access it through your authenticated session.
All communication between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Data in transit is always encrypted.
Shey uses the following third-party services to function:
When you write in Shey, your text is sent to the AI provider you have selected in Settings for processing. AI providers process your text to generate annotations but do not store your conversations beyond the scope of the API request.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your thinking is yours alone.
You have the right to:
When you delete your account, all your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems, including conversations, annotations, patterns, context, and profile information.
When you participate in a Napkin, your entries are visible to all members of that napkin. Your individual notebook remains private. Napkin creators can invite others via a shareable link.
Shey uses only essential cookies for authentication. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party cookies. We do not track you across the web.
